At least 20 killed in stampede at Gaza distribution site, US aid group says

00:00At least 20 Palestinians were killed on Wednesday in a stampede at a food distribution site
00:08run by an Israeli-backed U.S. organization in Gaza.
00:11It's the first time the group has acknowledged deadly violence at its operation

00:26and one person was fatally stabbed at a hub that operated in the southern city of Khan Yunus.

00:41Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry and witnesses said GHF workers used tear gas against the crowd inciting a panic.
00:48Palestinians who were at the Khan Yunus site also say stun grenades and pepper spray
00:52were also used on the crowds of people lined up.
00:55Dozens more were injured and were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment.
